The Team
Jean Michel Corbet is the most long-standing, distinguished and professional tour organiser in Transylvania. He has over 10 years experience of bringing Western Europeans to Transylvania. He married a Romanian woman, lives in the heart of Transylvania, and now has Romanian children of his own. He spent many years as joint-owner of Corbet-TransAir in Targu Mures, which brought many hundreds of tourists to experience the history and culture of the Transylvanian region. He now specialises in tailor-made personalised holidays to Transylvania, and also the ever-popular Dracula Tours. Jean Michel is a fussy frenchman - a perfectionist. He will only accept the very best in anything. So, he has created a trusted team of guides and tour providers in Transylvania, and hand-picked accommodation which he would be pleased to offer his own family. Jean Michel works closely with Mike Morton.
Rick Spurway is a British independent film and television producer who first came to Romania in 1998 to do charitable aid work in Transylvanian villages. He subsequently produced two television documentaries about the potential of tourism in Romania - particularly in Transylvania and the Danube Delta. Rick created the concept of Transylvania Express and has devised the various tours in partnership with Jean Michel Corbet. He has a huge experience of filming internationally, and is now helping to promote tourism in Transylvania. Rick is currently producing a television documentary series about traditional rural life in Transylvania.
